Alberta Accelerated Tech Program
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) Accelerated Tech Pathway enables Alberta to offer skilled tech professionals who are employed by or have a job offer from an employer in the Alberta-based tech industry in an eligible tech occupation a fast-track pathway to Canadian permanent residence (PR).

Eligibility Criteria:
In order to apply, candidates must:
- Have an eligible Express Entry profile (Must be valid for at least 5 months)
- Have a CRS score of at least 300
- Have an offer of employment in an eligible tech occupation, or from an Albertan employer
- Indicate the primary NOC code as the same as the Alberta job offer

Step-by-step process:
Step 1: Get a profile in the Express Entry system
Step 2: Have a valid job/job offer in Alberta from an eligible employer
Step 3: Check if you meet the Accelerated Tech Pathway Criteria
Step 5: Complete and submit your form
Step 6: AINP determines your eligibility and sends you an NOI to apply for a provincial nomination
Step 7: Apply for a provincial nomination
Step 8: Get a Provincial nomination from AINP – 600 additional CRS points in Express Entry
Step 9: Get an ITA under Express Entry
Step 10: Lodge your PR application with IRCC
(Applicant is also eligible to apply for a Work Permit while his/her PR application is in the process)
Step 11: Get Canada PR Visa
